Besides books, we have lots of VHS tapes, DVDs, and magazines.  If you're bored between classes, you could come read general magazines like PC World, Money or Time.  We have all of the professional funeral service magazines (they have job postings in the back!) including The Director and Mortuary Management.  There are indexes to magazine articles in the yellow box in the middle of the tables, so if you want to research “green burials,” you can find all the articles listed there. Funeral service magazines are also continually indexed here.  Magazines cannot be checked out.  However, they are easily photocopied in the computer lab.

As for online resources, check out NovelNY .  This is a free suite of databases.  All you need is a New York driver's license number or a New York public library card.  If you have any trouble logging in, just email me.  NovelNY databases cover health, liberal arts, and more.  If you are looking for science or health information, I suggest you try PubMed.gov, which is a free database funded by the US government.
