Simmons is a single purpose institute offering the highest quality program of Funeral Service Education. We do our utmost to prepare students in embalming sciences, funeral directing arts, and business management for membership in a vocation of service.
To this end, we maintain a professional, qualified, and committed faculty whose primary function is to provide competent instruction and advisement. Our curriculum has recently undergone extensive revision as we have committed ourselves to constantly review and revise our educational program to meet both current and future demands.
Aims and Objectives
1. To enhance the care provided by Funeral Service professionals through excellence in education.

3. To provide complete facilities and programs of education specifically planned to prepare the student in all phases of Funeral Service.
4. To acquaint students with the responsibilities and legal obligations of Funeral Service personnel in safeguarding the health and welfare of the community.
5. To encourage students to broaden their background both technically and culturally so that they may be fully aware of their responsibilities and functions as members of the Funeral Service industry and society in general.
6. To provide students with an awareness of the religious beliefs and customs in our society so that they may serve each family in the manner of their personal requirements.
7. To cooperate with the profession of Funeral Service in any and all of its efforts to balance personnel requirements.
8. To stress the need for good citizenship by encouraging integrity and ethical business practices resulting from good moral character and dedication to the profession.
9. To provide a curriculum at a post secondary level of instruction which encourages students and faculty research in the field of funeral service.
